ElevatEd is an alternative therapeutic school provision with a holistic approach to the education and development of young people. Our innovative wellbeing focused provision, based in Manchester, is a small setting designed for children aged 11 to 16. We provide them with a supportive, part-time learning environment that nurtures mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, alongside academic and personal development.

Where it began...
Mark the founder of ElevatEd knows this first-hand. Growing up more focused on football than the classroom, he was fortunate to have a teacher, Mr Blackwell, who saw something in him before he saw it in himself. Mr Blackwell believed in him and stepped in alongside Mark's parents to help him find his way, encouraging him to reach his full potential in education as well as on the pitch. That belief stayed with Mark long after he left school, carrying him through to a Teaching Bachelor's Degree and the start of a career built on the same idea Mr Blackwell showed him: that when a young person feels truly seen, almost anything becomes possible.

Mark is a proven leader in education, sport, and wellbeing for over three decades. He has used his expertise as Director of Sport & Health during the last 10 years to shape primary and secondary Physical Education, Physical Activity & School Sport alongside the successful teams that he has led. He has overseen the design and implementation of award-winning, inclusive programmes that inspire participation, build resilience, and promote lifelong wellbeing, earning school national recognition, including receiving the Manchester School of the Year for Sport.
